About You.

If you have a passion for fin-tech, sales, and partnerships to drive meaningful business growth for the next generation of fintech tools, you’ve come to the right place. We are searching for an experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships to join the Coinsmart team to help build a scalable cryptocurrency platform developed with the end user in mind. This is a full time hybrid position located at our offices in downtown Toronto. The role will work collaboratively with our local marketing team, as well as working with remote team members, and key stakeholders to drive new strategic partnerships for CoinSmart across several complementary services and verticals.

What You'll Do.

  • Have full accountability and ownership of the entire partnerships program including development, strategy, identification of new partners, onboarding, relationship management, contracts, execution, budget, and results 

  • Maintain, nurture and strengthen relationships with existing strategic partners. Build relationships with industry influencers to develop and communicate CoinSmart’s position as a leader in the cryptocurrency space 

  • Deliver on revenue targets and ensure that quarterly and annual targets are met or exceeded
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company products and services. Schedule meetings and presentations with new perspective partners 

  • Track all activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly 

  • Define and monitor metrics that allow for continuous assessment of the partnership program
  • Work with product teams to facilitate new technical integrations with partners 

  • Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments 

  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the partnerships effort


  • You’ve worked in a fast-scaling FinTech and know what it takes to scale a financial services company

  • Sense of humour and ability to have FUN!

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience such as partnership management, business development, account management, sales or customer success
  • A demonstrated track record of creating solutions that increase revenue; partnerships; investors
  • Analytical, data and result-driven individual who continuously looks at program results and optimizes accordingly
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed quarterly and yearly targets
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Professional presentation and public speaking skills are required
  • Ability to manage and grow internal and external cross-functional relationships and partnerships
  • Effective collaborator yet excels working independently
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to constantly changing business objectives
