About You.

If you have a passion for fin-tech, sales, and partnerships to drive meaningful business growth for the next generation of fintech tools, you’ve come to the right place. We are searching for an experienced Head of Growth for North America to join the Coinsmart team to help build a scalable cryptocurrency platform developed with the end user in mind. This is a full time position located in Toronto. The role will work collaboratively with our local marketing team, as well as working with remote team members, and key stakeholders to drive new strategic partnerships for CoinSmart across several complementary services and verticals. 

The Head of Growth will be responsible for formulating user and service growth strategies and targets for the North American market,, working closely with our Marketing teams on areas like User Acquisition, Performance Marketing, Growth Partnerships and CRM Programs. Joining our other business unit leads in the region, you will ensure that our Growth strategies are well aligned with overall business goals and objectives. Additionally you will explore and bring to fruition growth marketing partnerships, as well as leveraging existing CoinSmart partners in the market to accelerate our growth.

Your research, recommendations and insights will be the key that unlocks a globally anchored and locally relevant growth strategy for North America.

What You'll Do.

Head of Growth

  • Establish, maintain and evolve a holistic Growth Strategy for our North American markets. 
  • Lead, mentor and coach the Marketing team
  • Built and scaled at least 1 growth channel to 100K+ subscribers or consumers.
  • Mastery of GSheets to build growth models with a track record of hitting your projections.
  • Managing paid media channels
  • Developing an email marketing strategy
  • Liaise with PR and SEO contractors/vendors 
  • Conversion specialist – ability to tweak the funnel 
  • Experience building and executing influencer marketing and advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Proficient in 1+ programming language (eg. React) and have built growth tools to automate the generation of lead lists, targeted outreach campaigns, etc
  • You are data-driven and know the tools, metrics, levers and landscape inside and out. Writing SQL is second nature to you, and you’re comfortable diving into the data to find answers to your questions. If you’re unfamiliar with cohort analyses and finding patterns in datasets to exploit, then this role isn’t for you
  • You have been part of “zero to one” startups, and excited about the opportunity to explore and experiment as you create novel growth channels and build new playbooks
  • You understand what formulas drive WOW moments within customer experiences at every stage of the customer lifecycle, and what drives customers to become a true evangelist
  • You are constantly learning new things, and regularly push yourself out of your comfort zone to improve yourself and your skills
  • You are comfortable expressing your opinions strongly, but hold them weakly, listening to others and looking for evidence that can guide decision-making
  • You have a passion for improving people’s lives through technology and are looking for a career that delivers you a sense of meaning and purpose

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent practical experience
  • 5-8 years of experience working in growth and marketing 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with data, market insights and passion
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently
  • Deep regional understanding of North American markets
  • Experience developing and executing product go-to-market strategies
  • Experience building connections across different functions to align and execute on common goals, including stakeholder management (both internal and external)
  • Experience developing and transforming organization capabilities to maximize team’s output
  • People management experience
  • High self-awareness, with the ability to adapt to different levels and backgrounds within the organization
  • Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a distributed team environment spanning time zones and geographies.
