About You.

If you have a passion for investor relations, public relations, content creation, and communication strategy with strong project management skills who understands how to leverage content to drive meaningful business growth for the next generation of fintech tools, you’ve come to the right place. We are searching for an experienced Investor Relations/Public Relations Manager to join the Coinsmart team to help build a scalable cryptocurrency platform developed with the end-user in mind. We need an awesome person to help us through the journey of going public by managing all investor relations along the way. This is a full-time position located in Toronto. The role will work collaboratively with our local marketing team, as well as working with remote team members, investors, and stakeholders to distribute creative content to meet business objectives and requirements.

What You'll Do.

Investor Relations

    • Develop investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
    • Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework
    • Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties
    • Manage equity research and investor relationships
    • Provide insights on market activity and present them to to the leadership team
    • Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business
    • Responsible for overseeing and managing quarterly earnings and conference calls
    • Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters
    • Help prepare the company’s Annual Report

Public Relations

  • Planning publicity strategies and campaigns
  • Writing and producing presentations and press releases
  • Dealing with inquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations
  • Organizing and attending promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours, and visits
  • Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences, and presentations
  • Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress
  • Analyzing media coverage
  • Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research
  • liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting
  • 5 or more years experience dealing with investors and a strong track record of creating positive relations with the investor community and Equity Research Analysts
  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry
  • Intimately familiar with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors
  • A strong understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and customer trends
  • A professional who is also entrepreneurial, and has a client-minded focus
  • Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Has superb written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages for inspiring employees and investors
  • Skillful at managing multiple projects at one time
  • A high standard of verbal and written English
  • Effective collaborator yet excels working independently
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to constantly changing business objectives
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and self-development
